Unity is strength in a warming wine our 4 interviewees know it. They joined this event to raise awareness of the consequences of climate change in the wine industry. 

Aurelio Montes, Gustavo Hörmann, Ton Mata, and Joan F. Gajate share with us their opinions, practices, and the secrets of their projects, along with much information on how they are facing the consequences of climate change. All of them, with much to say.

Aurelio Montes

Founder, President, and Chief Winemaker of Montes Wines.

The great Aurelio. Founder, President and Chief Winemaker of Montes Wines, an outstanding leader in the wine industry in Chile and the world. 
 
His career speaks for itself, having pioneered the production of Chilean luxury wines and the discovery of several of Chile's best known terroirs today.
 
He has been awarded numerous titles, prizes and recognitions throughout his career, which continues to add up.
 
Viña Montes is today one of the leading Chilean wineries, with a global presence in more than 110 countries, recognized for the quality of its sustainably produced wines.

Gustavo Hörmann

Winemaker and General Manager of Kaiken Wines.
 
Gustavo is a renowned winemaker and General Manager of Kaiken, one of the most important wineries in Argentina. 

He has an innovative and sustainable approach to winemaking, which has led to the production of award-winning wines. His goal is to showcase the unique terroir of Argentina through the wine.

Committed to people and the environment, Gustavo has founded several projects for the social welfare of young people in his community.

Ton Mata

CEO of Recaredo and Celler Credo.
 
Ton is the third generation at the helm. He is a strong advocate of biodynamic principles as a way of cultivation and one of the precursors of the collective brand Corpinnat. 

In the years he has been at the helm, he has led important projects such as: 
The first certified biodynamic cava in history, the creation of Celler Credo, a natural wine brand, or the commercialization of the first long-aged sparkling wine.

He says he had to le-ave to return, and this probably led him to take the reins of the project with a unique vision that speaks through his wines.

Joan F. Gajate

Technical Director of Systems Certification at Tüv Rheinland.
 
An expert in certifications and carbon footprint reduction for companies.
His professional career has always centered on environmental management and sustainability, developing different activities within this field.

In his current position he is in charge of certifying and verifying the carbon footprint of companies, including some Spanish wineries.
